The next order needed more than a better checkout
Talkin’ Tacos had plans to expand, but its dated website and limited branding options didn’t reflect the restaurant Mo and Omar were building. They wanted to make direct takeout easier for regulars.
Taking an order was only part of that goal. Without a branded app, they had one fewer way to give guests a convenient next visit.
Ordering became part of a larger growth system
Mo and Omar chose Owner for more than a new checkout. Owner provided the website and search tools to help guests find them, direct ordering to take the sale, and an app and loyalty rewards to give guests ways and reasons to return.
Owner’s role extended beyond taking orders. In an August 2026 call, Daryl described Owner keeping the website and app updated and handling customer communication through the app and email.

The team later added Owner POS and kiosks at selected locations, including Nashville. These channels can connect available guest details and loyalty with an in-store order, extending the customer relationship beyond checkout.
That relationship creates an opportunity for follow-up through email, SMS, and the app when guests opt in.
The direct business grew beyond new-location openings
Talkin’ Tacos has continued bringing locations onto Owner as the brand expands. From the first recorded launch in Miramar in June 2021, its Owner footprint reached 34 distinct launched addresses by October 2026.
Five newly represented addresses joined Owner in 2026: Miami Springs, Davie, Oakleaf Town Center, Boca Raton, and Nashville. These are locations launched on Owner, not a verified count of new restaurant openings.
Growth also continued at established locations. The same 24-location cohort grew website and app sales 15.3% from September 2025 to September 2026.
Across the brand, website and app sales totaled $19.4M from October 2025 through September 2026. In September, returning guests placed 30,465 of 47,094 online orders, about 65%.
By October 27, more than 300k guest accounts with a recorded order were subscribed to email or SMS. That is an audience for future communication, not just a history of past transactions; it is brand-wide, not a count captured exclusively through POS.
Owner POS and kiosks also processed $1.26M across 39,854 in-store orders in September 2026 at selected locations. These figures show the scale of the direct business, not how much incremental growth POS or marketing caused.
