Guests needed help finding their way through the menu
Sonia already used Owner for her website and app. At the restaurant, she used Toast and a kiosk, but ordering still needed too much explanation.
Ordering needed too much explanation
Before switching, she described guests spending several minutes figuring out the kiosk. She wanted clearer choices and tickets that didn't send staff back to ask more questions.
Sonia brought the counter onto Owner POS
Sonia added Owner POS on March 19, 2026. The kiosk launch is recorded as March 20; her website and app were already live.
After customers struggled with the first menu layout, Sonia returned to the original structure and worked out an alphabetical order. In her interview, she valued being able to change the menu herself and avoid updating several systems, while reporting unresolved tablet-charging and card-reader issues.

Online orders grew from 73 to 147 a month
The Hunger Tamer took 147 website and app orders in September 2026, compared with 73 in September 2025. Online food sales rose 105% over the same period.
Owner POS processed $270,594.71 across 8,664 counter orders from April through September 2026. Kiosks processed another $24,040.97 across 854 orders, bringing the combined total to $294,635.68 and 9,518 orders over 6 complete post-launch months.
These are processed sales volumes, not food sales or additional sales caused by Owner; phone, online, and marketplace orders are excluded.
Sonia's story isn't just about adding a register. It's about finding an ordering setup that works for her guests, while building the restaurant's direct online business.
